ALISTAIR KNOX POST & BEAM MODERNIST HOUSE

A 1970s family home on the Mornington Peninsula was renovated to celebrate the warm colours, and earthy textures, of its heritage. Set on a woodland estate, with resident koalas in the gum trees, the property required a full renovation & landscape design to take advantage of the fantastic north facing living areas.

Original Daniel Robertson bricks and French quarry floor tiles were retained, and brought to life with a new colour scheme that included bursts of jewelled sunset tones in the Murano glass light fittings.

THE PLEASURE OF THE PARTERRE

Extensive landscaping included a "yin and yang" parterre of plantings in silvery greys contrasted with dark greens, as well as a focus on plant selections to encourage native birds to the garden.
