Playing with Lines: new work by Luigi Rosselli

With an emphasis on both horizontal + vertical lines
and the patterns made therein,
this new house by Luigi Rosselli
carries an element of Streamlined Modernism about it.

The corrugated concrete facade
is subtly referenced internally
by the arresting woven cane + wire balustrade to the main staircase.
And the curved internal wall,
seen here to the right,
references the curvaceous front facade.
While the rear facade is given over to full height window walls,
admitting much loved natural light,
and a much more rectilinear form.
Almost a modern interpretation,
in contemporary natural materials,
of the Streamline Moderne of the early 20th century.
